The Howwood InnThe Howwood Inn is the oldest inn in Renfrewshire and one of the oldest in Scotland. It has a unique character with a lively atmosphere.

Howwood itself (formerly also known as Hollow-Wood) is a small village located 11km (6.8 miles) west of Paisley just off the A737.

We have something for everyone, combining a country hotel with comfortable rooms and sumptuous beds with a superb restaurant which has a selection of fine wines. Add to this some good company and a lively atmosphere, and you have the perfect recipe for an enjoyable and memorable stay.

Dating back to 1770 and steeped in local history and folklore, The Howwood Inn is the perfect place for the weary traveler to rest and recharge their batteries.

The Inn (a Scottish word for hotel) is being treated to a comprehensive upgrade program. You are assured of a warm Scottish Welcome on arrival and great hospitality throughout your stay.
